The 2nd ASEAN Schools Games was held in Kuala Lumpur starting from 12-21 July, I was involved as the Control Committee for Volleyball and venued at Stadium Majlis Perbandaran Subang Jaya in Serdang, Selangor. 11 games were chosen for this year meet and Malaysia was the host for the second time. Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and host country Malaysia competed in two categories (boys & girls) which was victory by Thailand. The boys categories final was a tough game between Malaysia and Thailand, whereby Malaysia was leading two sets and beaten by Thailand at the last whistle by 3-2. The organizer had shown an excellent job by preparing officials and high class facilities towards the tournament. The accompanying referees from other countries ( Mr. Lee Wei Leong - Singapore & Mr. Parinya Tawan Utop - Thailand) were satisfied with all the preparation by the host country. As the Control Committee for the tournament, I would like to congratulate MSS Selangor/MSSM for their hard work and commitment enhance the successfull of the tournament.
